This story is set in the Harry Potter universe created by J.K. Rowling. It is an alternate universe fifth year, concieved and outlined before Order of the Phoenix was released.

Contains spoilers for all books written by J.K. Rowling as of January 2003 -- in other words, all books before Order of the Phoenix. Some familiarity with the other books in the Harry Potter series -- Philosopher's Stone/Sorcerer's Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban, Goblet of Fire, and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them -- may be necessary to follow this story.
